Educated in British Columbia, Alberta, and Germany, Alastair has been working in the design and communications field since 1985, including several years with Sony VAIO of Europe and Dainippon Screen Ltd., Europe.

Page One Publishing Launches New Magazine
Victoria, BC — Page One Publishing (VICTORIA) announced today they are launching DOUGLAS, a new magazine for the Victoria business community. Douglas is a glossy, full-colour magazine published bimonthly, and the premier issue is set for November, 2006. The new magazine includes print and online components and targets business owners, executives, and managers.
Norman Gidney, former business columnist and reporter at the Times Colonist and editor of Victoria’s Business Report, is leading the editorial team as consulting editor. The content features in-depth articles by established writers and profiles of people and businesses, as well as resources and contact information to connect local businesses. Articles and columns highlight technology, human resources issues, marketing, lifestyle and leisure, and business travel. June 1, 2005 Victoria, BC – Thrifty
Foods and Page One Publishing today announced the release
of the premiere
issue of FRESH,
a complimentary consumer magazine available exclusively
at all Thrifty Foods locations. FRESH is a full-colour,
full-size quarterly magazine with engaging editorial that
offers helpful information and tips on food safety, along
with advice on how to buy, prepare, and enjoy a variety
of seasonal foods.
“Our customers know that one of the things we value most is
excellent customer service,” said Malcolm Webster,
Director of Marketing and Communications at Thrifty Foods. “FRESH
provides us with a way to share the knowledge and expertise
of some of our 3,600 employees with our customers. It also
